The Miami conference will also feature multi-vendor exhibits demonstrating interoperability and coexistence of multiple distributed computing technologies as addressed in the plenary presentations. These include an opportunity for all attendees to experience the Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) in a realistic setting. Special management briefings, designed for those not currently active in the associated Program Groups, will focus on "Enterprise and Application Management" and "Introduction to DCE". The Program Groups are actively developing their usual rich agendas and speaker lineups in the areas of Security, Management, Transaction Processing, DCE and Network Client. In order to increase the diversity and completeness of customer requirements we will be opening the plenary and the DCE Program Group to non-members for a fee, as specified in the registration form. We also hope these attendees will see the value of participation in The Open Group and ultimately join us as members. Therefore, if you have contacts in non-member organizations that are wrestling with similar issues, please invite them to join you at this conference.
