Real-time & Embedded Systems Forum

The Real-time and Embedded Systems Forum met from Wednesday April 10th through to Thursday April 11th co-located with The Open Group quarterly conference in Paris, France.

Sessions held at Paris meeting included sessions on In³ as it relates to the Real-time Environment, Safety Critical, Update on Security for Real-time Environments, Hard Real-time Java, a Joint QoS/Real-time session, a vendor update on Real-time Operating Systems, POSIX Tracing APIs, and a presentation on an experience with an Emulator for Real-time. Additionally representatives gave up-dates from OMG and INCITS R-1. Of significance were the updates on DO-178B Testing and Experience from Rational Software and Wind River, review of the Safety Critical Draft White Paper, Java observations as it relates to an EU Project TALIS, and a proposal on how to move forward on a RTSJ Profile for DO-178B.

The future meeting schedule for the forum is as follows:

  • Week commencing July 21-26, Boston, USA, Forum Meeting
  • Week commencing October 21-25, Cannes, France, Forum Meeting
