Case Study: EA a Key Enabler for Information Flow in the Organisation
"Boundaryless Information Flow", the vision of The Open Group, still needs to become reality in most organisations today. Access to relevant information to empower people to execute on their mandate is still a major obstacle.

This presentation will share insights gained through research of a telecommunications service provider organisation as a case study, on information flow and EA's enabling role in it. The research focused on information flow as a concept in the organisation and how it was perceived by employees taking part in focus group sessions. The same focus groups then interacted on a number of architecture artefacts and provided their shared insights on how these artefacts were perceived to impact on information flow in the organisation. The outcome of the research and the accompanying recommendations, provide food for thought for all organisations practicing EA today.
