The organization of enterprise information and the use of metadata and semantic technology within service-oriented architecture is rapidly becoming a hot topic.

The Open Group's SOA and Semantic Interoperability Working Groups are holding a joint meeting on Information Architecture for SOA on the Saturday and Sunday before the conference, and on the Monday morning of the conference week. The long-term objectives are:

• To create a framework that enterprises can use to help them to develop information architectures for SOA; and
• To make recommendations for the integration of this framework with TOGAF, ideally without making significant changes to TOGAF. In this conference session, the project team will present its initial conclusions for public review and feedback. It will be an interactive workshop, in which you will be able to learn about and contribute to the work in progress.
