Presentation
Governance without bureaucracy
Getting enterprise architecture governance balance right is a big challenge. If implemented too rigorously it tends to become buereaucratic. Then instead of helping the solution development follow enterprise architecture it can degenerate into a hinderance to developing right solution at right time. Too little governance will let solution development deviate easily from enterprise architetcure. Traditionally people and processes are used to provide governance. Resources from enterprise continuum are used to aid the governance. This presentation suggests, a pragmatic governance approach and more effective use of artifacts from enterprise continuum to enable effective governance. This would enable self-governance of solution development to a degree and will free up enterprise architects to concentrate on architecture and strategy development.
