Dennis KerssensDrs. Dennis Kerssens, Principal Architect at Getronics and Business Unit Manager of the architecture service centre. He studied software engineering with specialsisms in Economics and Psychology.

As principal architect he consults organizations in applying architecture and governance and supports the introduction and implementations of architectures and governance. Dennis also has experiences in interim management on architecture departments.

As Business Unit manager Dennis has the supervision over architects within Getronics PinkRoccade. He operates in different market segments, like the sector public, finance, industry and health care.Getronics

Dennis is author of several articles on Enterprise and IT-architecture and presents on serveral ICT-fora. As co-author his latest publishing was 'TOGAF: a management guide'.

As a TOGAF and SCIA-certified IT-business-architect his interest is in Information-architecture and Business-IT-alignment, or in other words: how can organizations can optimaly use IT and how can IT optimaly support the business.

Applying ArchiMate at an Insurance Company
For several years a Dutch insurance company successfully applies architecture in its Business and its IT. For modeling purpose they adapted ArchiMate. In this session an overview is given of architecture concepts that were used and parts of the resulting enterprise architecture are shown.
