Security Architectures for the future:
Architectures for business collaboration in de-perimeterized environments

The electronic boundary between a Corporate WAN and the Internet is breaking down and being obsoleted, in the process called de-perimeterisation. Architectures for business collaboration is a constructive response to this challenge. The Architectures aim to provide a generic framework of key components within which interoperable solutions can be provided to meet the needs of business processes and operations. Business systems are designed to interconnect, with many inter-system connections being the result of expensive planning, legal negotiation, and bespoke technology. Leased lines were often used, though the advent of the ubiquitous Internet has motivated their replacement with VPN technology. These traditional solutions are not keeping pace with the business need of faster and more flexible/agile collaborative business arrangements, from outsourcing to joint ventures, from merger today to divestment tomorrow, all within a global working, global manufacturing and global procurement environment. This stream will address these business requirements.
