David Jackson is a Senior Research Fellow in the Boston University Institute for Leading in a Dynamic Economy (BUILDE). BUILDE is the research arm of the Boston University School of Management, where we partner with businesses to bring relevant research to practical realization. My research focuses on Business and Enterprise Architecture.
During his career, David has been a leader in the development of the IT Architect profession. He has been active in the profession’s development since 2001, and a practitioner since 1997. David has been a frequent speaker on IT Architect practice, methodology, and development. He has participated in the development and direction of TOGAF and the IT Architect Certification program now run by The Open Group.
Qualifications
- Master Certified IT Architect by The Open Group.
- Member of the IT Architect Certification review board for The Open Group IT Architect Certification program.
- IBM certified Security IT Architect (1Q/2001), recertified in Enterprise Architecture (1Q/2006).
- Served on IBM’s IT Architect certification review board (2001 – 2007).
- Past Chair (2006) and Vice-chair (2004-2005) The Open Group Architecture Forum
