Leveraging Standards and Best Practices in SOA Governance
SOA Solutions can draw on multiple sources of functionality both from within and outside an enterprise. The experience of many organizations is that an effective governance regime is a critical element in a successful SOA program. It is often the enterprise architecture team and other senior leaders of an IT organization that provide oversight and guidance to an SOA effort and its governance. Based on best practices harvested from several customer engagements implemented by IBM's SOA consultants, as   well as emerging best practices from the Open Group SOA project, this session will introduce the key   issues in SOA Governance and relate those to the work of the leaders of an IT organization. You will gain insight into techniques used to ensure that each service is delivered with consistent quality through the enforcement of standards and best practices. A service lifecycle that includes processes for the regulation of service creation and getting more service reuse will be use!
