Web Services Interoperability Test - What we did and What
we learned
The
DOPG (Distributed Object Promotion Group), established in 1997, is
an open group of computer and software vendors providing distributed object
products in Japan. The main objective of DOPG is to promote distributed
object technology and to verify interoperability among member companies'
products in Japan. Currently, 16 companies are its members. (See http://www.dopg.gr.jp/en/)
Since 1998, DOPG has been performing interoperability tests
of CORBA and Java/EJB, and recently has included Web Services as a target
technology as well. In April this year, it succeeded the first interoperability
test over SOAP with participation of 12 member companies and 9 products.
In this presentation, it is explained how this Web Services
interoperability test was done and what was the results. Then, he mentions
what was learned from this practice considering the role of Web Services.
