Representing Member, Distributed Object Promotion Group
Makoto Oya is Director, Strategic Alliance at Hitachi, Ltd.
He has a long experience at
Hitachi in the area of software system development such as operating system
(including OSF/1 and DCE), distributed object middleware, application
infrastructure software. Based on these experiences, he is also working
actively in the areas such as internet, software system modeling and Web
services.
He also works as a key person of strategic alliance of Hitachi's
software system such as in open standardization activities. He is a representing
member of the DOPG (Distributed Object Promotion Group) in Japan, which
is practicing interoperability test of CORBA/Java and SOAP in Japan.
He is also a Board member of the Open Group and Object Management
Group.
