Tailoring and adopting the TOGAF® ADM in BP

The presentation will describe the tailoring and aoption of the TOGAF ADM in BP. This included the training and TOGAF9 certification of over 170 architects, the tailoring of the architecture methodology to meet BP’s needs, the implementation of a set of supporting tools to drive and measure adoption.
The new architecture practice has a strong focus on business value and stakeholders’ satisfaction, and an Architecture Balanced Scorecard is in place and used to communicate the value delivered to stakeholders
In his current role, Vincenzo Marchese has led the transformation of the architecture & design practice within the IT organisation. It involved defining and driving adoption of processes and tools to a global community of 260 architects. The transformation initiative has been visible and sponsored by the global CIO and the segment/function CIOs, it included the training and TOGAF9 certification of over 170 architects, the tailoring of the architecture methodology to meet BP’s needs, the implementation of a set of supporting tools to drive and measure adoption.
