Driving value from IT Procurement using Architecture

T procurement can be difficult for organisations, who often find it hard to both articulate what they require and how it will fit in with their existing IT estate as well as provide potential suppliers with sufficient information to enable accurate quotations. Architecture can provide an answer for organisations. TOGAF provides a framework understood by all major IT suppliers. Customers and Suppliers can use TOGAF to provide a common language so that they can work together to understand the scope of solutions, to provide accurate costs and to ensure suppliers understanding of their need. This case study will highlight lessons learnt from past procurements and show how this approach could have circumvented these issues.
