  Michael Ruiz, Manager & Chief Tecnologist, Net-Centric Prototypes, BAE Systems    
Michael Ruiz is Manager and Chief Technologist for Net-Centric Prototypes Business Area in support of BAE Systems, Inc. In this role, Mr. Ruiz leads a research and development team that focuses on building service oriented architecture systems for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and the federal government at large. Prior to his current position, Mr. Ruiz served as Deputy Director for Technical Integration on the Terrorism Information Awareness project. Additionally, Mr. Ruiz has twelve years of experience in the research and development of complex systems encompassing the commercial, academic, and defense industries. Mr. Ruiz served as an Intelligence Analyst in the U.S. Army and is a graduate of Hawaii Pacific University. Mr. Ruiz is a participating member of IEEE, ACM, and OASIS technical organizations.
