The Open Group's gala dinner will be Tuesday evening, October 18, at Houston's historic Magnolia Ballroom located about 10 blocks from the Hyatt Regency.

On the National Register of Historic Places, the beautiful Magnolia Building has occupied its space just off Market Square for more than 100 years. Most of its exterior and interior motif date to the period just before Prohibition when the building served as executive offices and "tap" room for the Houston Ice and Brewing Company at the turn of the century.

The original leaded glass and cypress windows look out to Houston's great skyline and a beautiful covered balcony overlooks Buffalo Bayou Park.
