Andre has built a career in the world of IT based on his critical understanding of the full gamut of IT and business. He currently consults to Oracle and Dimension Data in the areas of strategy and architecture, among others.

Before that, Andrewas at South African Revenue Services, where he held the position of chief technologist, responsible for, among other duties, driving Revenue Services' enterprise architecture. In this regard, he ensured alignment of business needs with IT delivery, along with coaching executives and staff through organisational changes.

Andre was subsequently contracted to assist his long-standing colleague, Ken Jarvis, to design the architecture for AA Autobay, South Africa's most ambitious online car sales venture.

Andre has a B Com degree, is a regular speaker at industry events and has extensive experience locally and in Europe and Australia.

EA Experience at SARS and AA Autobay

Andre as chief technologist and Ken Jarvis as CIO were partly responsible for transforming SARS into a world-class IT organisation. Since then, Ken has created the IT underpinning for AA Autobay, and Andre consults independently.

Ken and Andre will jointly present on how they applied architectural principles to both SARS and AA Autobay, and the benefits this approach conferred on both organisations.
