Membership in the Open Group: The Open Group is a vendor-neutral, international, member-driven standards organization with over 250 members. We focus our efforts on the development of software standards that enable enterprise integration and on the certification of products that implement standards. Our members benefit from: advanced knowledge of technology and standards developments, the opportunity to participate in or lead the development of standards and certification programs, access to information on real-world implementations and proven practices, shaping strategic direction through their business requirements, and better procurement practices supported by well defined brands and standards.

Who should join?

• IT customers - CIOs, Directors, and Program Managers of large, global IT infrastructures—who are charged with managing their organization's IT infrastructure in the key areas of security, architecture, management, directory, and mobile computing.

• IT vendors delivering products in the key areas of security, architecture, management, directory, and mobile computing whose customers and application developers are demanding improved interoperability and standards-based solutions.

Membership in The Open Group means joining a global network of IT customers and vendors who are developing multi-vendor integration solutions through open standards, testing, certification, and branding.
