Collaboration Community of Practice (CCoP)

Friday, April 30, 2010 — 9.00 - 10.30

This is an Open Meeting for those wishing to learn more about the Collaboration Community of Practice (CCoP) and to understand how they can contribute to making it a better and broader Community.

This session will start with an overview of the CCOP from Sally Long, followed by a short presentation from Dave Lounsbury that will serve to kick-off a round table interactive discussion on Best Practices for Virtual Meetings. Following the Round Table Discussion we will have a brainstorming session on what we need to do in order to reach the CCoP objective (below) faster and more effectively.

The Open Group CCoP was developed with the following objective:

To foster a community that allows individuals and organizations passionate about collaboration to:

• share their vision, knowledge and expertise in: standards, best practices, collaboration tools, techniques and principles
• earn from the knowledge and experience of others
• facilitate the adoption or creation of best of breed standards and best practices in collaboration
• facilitate market adoption activities to promote the use of those collaboration standards and best practi
