Using TOGAF 9 in Conjunction with Other Frameworks on Emergency Management Systems

The EMSIF spans all first responders within and without government. It has been created collaboratively using several frameworks notably TOGAF, OMG's Information Exchange Framework, Unified Profile for DODAFand MODAF, and US Homeland Security Interoperability Continuum. It shows how these open frameworks work together to achieve interoperability at the business, information and technical levels.

Integrating TOGAF Architecture Development Method with Other Enterprise-wide Processes
This presentation describes integrating TOGAF Architecture Development Method with other Enterprise Wide Processes. Togaf ADM supports industry integration and TOGAF8 already contains mapping to Zachman Framework. There are Open Group white papers describing the mapping TOGAF to OMG's MDA modelling standards, DODAF,COBIT4 and ITIL touch points. The enterprise wide process presented here is "Levels, Requirements and Models Process for any Transformation". This Process has a phase based approach where requirements are modelled and through successive levels L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5. Models are used to show how requirements can be satisfied by the end state of the transformation trough formally testing against requirements.

Steve Ross-Talbot, CTO Europe, Cognizant Technology Solutions, UK
Steve Ross-TalbotSteve Ross-Talbot is the Chief Architect, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Steve has been involved in computational science since 1975 - a long long time. He has published various papers over the years too. His main interests are centered on using formal methods to build robust distributed systems. The idea of getting it right and proving it has been a driving force for Steve, this is why SOA, BPMN, BPMN2, SOAML and WS-CDL are close to his heart along with formal techniques for modeling, verification and simulation and form the basis much that he does at both the Pi4Technologies Foundation and Cognizant Technology Solutions

Sanda Morar, Principal Architect, Cognizant Technology Solutions, UK
Sanda MorarSanda Morar is a Principal Architect/Senior Manager and leads the Enterprise Architecture competency within Cognizant's Advanced Solutions Group in Europe. Sanda has over 20 years experience working as an Enterprise/Solutions Architect and Consultant for large scale projects worth up to 100 million British pounds.
