TOGAF and Other Frameworks

Sponsoring Forum: Architecture Forum

Description of other well known architectural frameworks, and positioing relative to TOGAF, in order to:

• enable TOGAF to be understood relative to other frameworks that may be known or used within a particular environment.
• leverage / reference those frameworks that complement TOGAF and add value
• indicate the circumstances under which each framework is most suitable for use
• potentially, to use as the basis of a guide to architecture frameworks that could be published - a "Manager's Guide to Architecture Frameworks".

Expected outcome:

An agreed basis for updating the "Other Frameworks" section of TOGAF; a decision on whether to develop a separate, free-standing guide; and an agreed way of achieving the first or both develiverables during subsequent workshops (in August).
