Real-time Security

Sponsoring Forum Real-time Security Group

In Anaheim, the Security Forum responded to an invitation from the Real-time Security group to assess and advise on realistic security goals for real time systems, particularly those in public utility companies which are designated part of the Critical Infrastructure for nation states.

The outcome of that joint session was that the Real-time Security Group would provide use-case scenarios for review and response by the Security Forum members. We now anticipate these will be provided in time for assessment before the Boston meeting, so it would be valuable to have a Real Time Security Project session in Boston to consolidate understanding of realistic goals and to identify actions that will deliver appropriate security solutions. This outcome will form the basis for future project work to achieve these solutions.

Expected outcomes:

  1. Identification of potential useful work items/projects that the Real Time Security group and Security Forum members can do to develop or encourage development elsewhere of acceptable real time security solutions.
  2. Setting up of any agreed projects to deliver the agreed solutions.
