In this session, each Forum will provide a speaker to represent their perspective, and there will then be a 30-minute debate aimed at achieving a common understanding of what PKI is useful for in business terms and realistic in technology terms. There will then be a panel of the 3 speakers, with an independent moderator to draw out conclusions.

The intention is to plan specific actions a to complete the following three deliverables:

  • Development of the Guide to Working with PKI being produced by the Security Forum, and agreement on joint review panel.
  • Progression of the PKI Directory Guidelines being produced by the DIF
  • Developing an understanding of the PKI Keys manageability issues, as valuable input to the discussion on the Messaging Forum's work on secure messaging, and to the debate on how best to take forward the results of the Secure Messaging Challenge.
