  At a time when Applications Management is a critical issue for members, this group is focusing on the need for standards-based applications management products as a major factor in driving down the overall cost of IT ownership.

The main thrust of the DSM Program Group in London will be focused on developing the foundations for the next year and set goals and work priorities that will eventually involve both the Program Group and SYSMAN specification working group.

The education program will continue, this time with a presentation from a well known researcher on systems management. In addition, based on the presentations in March and what appears to be common interest we will further explore the world of CIM (Common Information Model) from a user point of view including what it can mean to the users if it is standardized.
