Mobile Management Forum Workshops

Wireless technology will revolutionize the way business is conducted. The critical challenges, from an IT perspective, are to manage the new mobile workforce, provide the necessary access to critical enterprise resources, and maintain appropriate levels of security, support and overall management of the ever-growing number and type of mobile devices.

The future of IT is wireless; mobility, flexibility and interoperability are the key elements of this future. IT enterprises of all sizes have undergone dramatic changes in both technology and in the personnel that utilize mobile technology in their jobs. Computers have become smaller and more portable and have allowed a whole new class of mobile devices to be developed. This has allowed workers who previously had not used mobile solutions the ability to communicate more efficiently.

The mission of The Open Group Mobile Management Forum is to accelerate the deployment of wireless applications and devices into the enterprise by bringing together vendors and buyers to ensure delivered solutions meet customer requirements. Consistent with this mission, The Wireless-Enabled Enterprise Conference brings together both vendors and buyers to examine how to take the first steps down the road of shaping the wireless future of IT.
