A 10 year veteran of the financial industry, Andrew Comas currently works for J.P. Morgan Chase's Wireless Czar, uncovering mCommerce opportunities and helping incubate new firms in the industry. Previously Mr. Comas was Head of Technology Research for J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for evaluating emerging technologies for investment opportunities as well as incorporating disruptive technologies, such as wireless, into J.P Morgan's infrastructure. Mr. Comas was also J.P. Morgan's Chief Technical Architect. He has also run the trading floor systems for the CSFB's Money Markets desk worldwide, and has consulted for many firms building trading floor applications including IBJ's Swaps Desk, Nomura's MBS Desk, Banker's Trust's Swap application, and Chase's FX Desk. Mr. Comas earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and has been a member of IEEE and ACM since 1983. Mr. Comas currently co-chairs the Mobile Management Forum of the Open Group working on global wireless standards. |
