Transaction Processing Program Group
This Program Group was established as a result of the recent introductory session in Boston. Alan Davies of Gresham Computing has agreed to Chair the group.
The TP Program is investigating a range of specific usage scenarios and soliciting IT business and infrastructure requirements. This information is being used to build a TP architecture and will lead on to recommendations for protocols and APIs. Future projects will also address testing, branding and prototype development.
In Amsterdam the group will review its objectives and progress on the development of a TP architecture for the IT DialTone. The customer requirements collected so far will be reviewed and further developed as appropriate - the program is at a stage where members can strongly influence its direction.
Informational presentations will include "Integration of CORBA OTS and TxRPC" and "The role of Message Queuing in creating interoperability"
