James McKinley

HP IT Architect Manager, Hewlett-Packard Company

James McKinley has been an Architect Manager in the Hewlett-Packard Information Technology organization since June 2000 where he took on the role of Enterprise Integration Initiative Chief Architect. Currently, James is focused on HP IT Infrastructure Modernization for HP IT Strategy & Architecture organization and has recently assumed the role of HP/Compaq merger team Lead Architect for Enterprise Application Integration and Business Process Management.

As a representative of HP IT Strategy & Architecture, James' operational duties include membership on the Enterprise Integration Leadership Forum, standards and technology evaluation, education of emerging technologies and program management. James currently has a patent pending enterprise integration solution as a result of these efforts around emerging technologies.

James came to corporate IT after a four stint as a Management Consultant in the Hewlett-Packard Americas SAP Consulting Practice and Enterprise Application Integration Practice. James delivered configuration and business application consulting services to customers that partnered with HP for their SAP and EAI implementations. Prior to joining HP, James acquired extensive knowledge of SAP and business processes in his dual role as Senior Financial Analysts and Senior Systems Analyst in the Finance and Accounting Department of a rapid-growth hi-tech firm in Silicon Valley.
