Paulo ToméPaulo Tomé is Full Professor in Information Systems at ESTV (Escola Superior de Tecnologia de Viseu) in Portugal. Paulo Tomé has a Ph.d in Information Systems from the University of Minho (2005). The research subject of its Ph.d work was the reuse of experience in the Enterprise Architecture description.

From 1996 to 2005 he was the Course Director in Computer Sciences and he is now the Director of the ESTV Computer Science Department, where he has been since 2005.

After 1996 Paulo Tomé participated in several projects,in which he was involved in the development of the Enterprise Architecture description. In these projects, he was responsible for advising executives in selecting IT solutions and also defining Business Process Models.

A Tool-Neutral Framework for Systematic Experience Reuse in Architecture Description

In the last few years the enterprise architecture development has become an important issue. Several organizations have developed efforts to formalize their existing and intended architecture descriptions. For this reason the role of enterprise architects has become a key element of the organizational function. The enterprise architect’s experience plays an important role in the process of the architecture description. In this presentation we will present a framework and a computational implementation that empowers the architecture description process by allowing the use of enterprise architect’s past experience.
