Enterprise Architecture - Today and Tomorrow

Over the recent years, the focus of Enterprise Architecture has changed considerably. After an initial interest in documentation and standards, business-IT alignment today is the most-quoted high level objective.

We now see a shift of focus towards business transformation. This shift is triggered by macro-economic drivers and changes in corporate structures. It requires changes in the way the architecture function is organized. It modifies the role of the architect within the organization. And it implies new requirements to enterprise architecture frameworks and tools.

This presentation evaluates these drivers, and tries to point out possible responses to these new opportunities.
