Ken is a Principal Consultant of the Symantec Consultancy Services in EMEA. Ken is ITIL, PRINCE 2 and Management of Risk certified consultant whose primary focus for clients is the optimisation of IT assets and improved alignment of IT and Business strategies.
Ken has extensive experience in I.T. management, strategy and transformation and has worked in the industry for more than 20 years. He recently became an ITIL Certified Service Manager. Coming from a business background he believes in taking a pragmatic approach with the principles of "Services Based" Computing to align IT organisations closely with their business partners. A key goal in his role is to help Symantec's customers solve their most complex and critical I.T. challenges in a pro-active and innovative manner.
Ken is passionate about optimising client investments in IT to achieve their business goals. From his previous roles, Ken has extensive experience in creating innovative solutions to I.T. management problems that foster improved relations and promote the value of I.T.
Prior to joining VERITAS Ken spent 8 years in a global financial services organisation where for the last 3 years he was VP for Technology Operations Strategy an Infrastructure. A key responsibility of this role was to sit on the joint governance board for the outsourced IT environment and ensure that best in class economics were being sought in conjunction with enterprise standards. Prior to this role, for 3 years, Ken was VP for Service Management for the HQ in New York. As a Service Management leader, Ken was responsible for over 140 operations personnel that were responsible for desktop, server and network support.
During his time at the financial services company, Ken architected transformation programs to reduce total cost of ownership, improve I.T. management techniques and deliver increased quality-of-service.
His career includes working as a consultant for Microsoft, Coopers & Lybrand and Digital Equipment.
Prior to that, Ken worked for HP for 8 years on numerous technical assignments in the UK and Australia. |
