SOA Appliances - What They Could Do for You

An enterprise introducing XML-based SOA faces challenges during the runtime of their solutions. The primary causes of concern are security and inefficiencies of XML processing due to its verbose character. A number of network infrastructure vendors have started to provide solutions for these challenges and are claiming turf that was formerly reserved to application server and ESB vendors.

This presentation discusses, based on a high level architecture view, which services are available as appliances. It provides a point of view when choosing any of these network appliances is an appropriate choice.
