Presentation CASE STUDY: Enterprise Architecture and Modelling at AXA
AXA Ambition 2012 states a goal to double its 2004 revenues and triple its 2004 profits by the year 2012. An Enterprise Architecture will be integral in helping AXA achieve its 2012 ambition goals. It will provide the mechanism to coordinate IT efforts, align them to Business needs, and access economies of scale. Without a clear plan and method to execute it, IT efforts will be duplicated and corners will be cut, sacrificing quality and long term benefits, to meet timelines and business case approval. This will lead to increased IT costs and long term constraints, impacting AXA's ability to deliver its 2012 goals. This presentation will cover the overall EA approach being followed at AXA (based on TOGAF) and the metrics-based modelling method (based on APM and ABACUS) that is being used to plan the optimal future investments to meet the 2012 ambition.
