Taxis
Taxis in Lisbon are beige and usually have the word
TAXI on top. They are available right outside the
Arrival and Departure halls.
Lisbon Airport is 7 km or 4.35 miles from the
hotel,
and is typically about a 15 minute ride. The cost of
a taxi from or to the Lisbon Airport should be no more
than EUR14 (including
any luggage charges). Confirm
the price of the journey before you get in the taxi.
Taxi Voucher Service
To avoid any hassle over fares you can buy a prepaid
voucher (which includes gratuity and luggage charges).
The vouchers are on sale at the Turismo
de Lisboa counter, located in the airport
arrivals hall. The price of the voucher depends
on the distance of the trip or length of time,
as well as on the type of service required: normal
or personalized (in the former, the driver is trained
to speak foreign languages and acts as tourist
guide). Expect to pay EUR11-EUR14 to most destinations
in the city center from the airport. Add 2 to 3
euros more if travelling at night.
