Smart Automation: Extending the Reach of the SOA Platform

A new enterprise stack is emerging: the SOA Platform, providing companies with a standard set of capabilities for developing and deploying SOA applications. These applications range from routing and mediation, through to orchestration, human workflow and     business processes. This SOA Platform has emerged organically and has been driven by user demands and real-world experience. While SOA has simplified many aspects of Enterprise Integration and Business Process Automation there are still a number of limitations to the state of the art. This presentation describes these issues and illustrates how smart automation can be used to extend the set of problems that can be solved by SOA applications.
