SOA Maturity Model SOA
Maturity Model has been widely recognized
as a key element required for a successful SOA
adoption strategy. SOA Maturity Model is
defined as a set of criteria, parameters and
factors that can be used to measure and
describe the degree of complexity and
sophistication in using SOA for implementing
projects within an organization. The model serves the following
purposes:
1. It can be leveraged to gain insight
into the current state of SOA implementation
within an organization and serve as a
barometer to measure the degree of readiness to adopt SOA.
2. It provides the ability to measure
and assess the progress and effectiveness of the SOA adoption.
3. It helps an organization gain an
understanding of the impact of SOA adoption.
The SOA maturity
Model produced from this project was based on the review
and assessment
of industry's most notable SOA Maturity
Models. The distinguishing contribution of the
proposed SOA Maturity Model includes
leveraging the strong features of the reviewed
models and identifying and mitigating their weaknesses.
