Presentation
Using TOGAF to Architect the Lean Enterprise
Many enterprises are employing Lean principles in the delivery of their goods and services. Lean principles provide a systematic approach for organizing and managing product development, operations, suppliers, and customer relations. They were were pioneered by Henry Ford, and later refined by Toyota in its famed Toyota Production System. Today, businesses and a wide range of nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, use lean principles, practices, and tools to create value and deliver higher quality goods and services. This presentation will focus on the role of Enterprise Architecture in the Lean Enterprise. What are the unique challenges and opportunities that are related to architecting enterprises in a Lean context. Who are the stakeholders? What are their concerns? In view of these unique dimensions, how can TOGAF be tailored to provide effective architectures and solutions. How should the Enterprise Architecture be governed in the context of the Lean enterprise?
