Adopting SOA - Aligning the business and IT
We see an increasing trend for the business and IT teams working closely and the skill sets required for being successful in these once-separate roles continue to cross pollinate. This convergence of roles has deep implications in how the business functions. For example, innovative workgroups are creating their own situational applications rather than relying on the support of corporate-wide packaged application. Departments that were working on their own IT systems now focus on reuse of services in business units across the enterprise. This session will explore how business process management, Service Oriented Architecture, evolving business models, and governance are drawing business and IT together.
