The Open Group Ontology for SOA
The Open Group's SOA Working Group is developing a formal ontology for SOA, in order to enhance the understanding of SOA concepts in the business and technical communities, and potentially contribute to model-driven SOA implementation. There was significant input to its development from a workshop meeting at the Lisbon conference in October 2006, resulting in a version that was exposed to external bodies including the OMG and W3C. There have been major developments since that version. This workshop session will discuss these developments, and its results will be included in the new version of the ontology which will be prepared for publication following the conference.
