CASE STUDY: Enterprise Master Data Management Implementation for a Large Retailer / Distributor - Architectural Aspects
Historically, as IT was becoming a critical business function, isolated technology platforms proved to be increasingly inefficient. Redundant processes and systems, duplicate storage, inconsistent support strategies resulted in high cost of disparate IT assets management and limited business flexibility.
Master Data Management consolidation is a key element of a unified enterprise; it includes a set of disciplines and methods to ensure the currency, meaning and quality of a company’s reference data that is shared across various systems and organizations.
The presentation will analyze the key elements of a MDM framework and the various architectures that can support it. It will be based on learning accumulated during numerous MDM architecture engagements at various clients in the retail, CPG and distribution space.
