The Key Role of Information Architecture
The Open Group is a vendor-neutral and technology-neutral consortium of IT vendors and their enterprise and IT architecture framework, TOGAF, is an agreed view on how IT ought to fit within organizations.

However, the view of the customers of IT vendors, of their information as a corporate resource, is quite different. Knowledge of the information in the enterprise information architecture sets the stage for IT vendors to sell fitting and aligned IT.

Although IT vendors cannot be involved in the development of the knowledge of information in an information architecture (because they supply solutions) it is very important to know what an IT vendor wants to be able to supply in providing the right solutions. This presentation introduces this issue.
