  Dave van Gelder — European Register of Information Architects    

Dave van GelderDave van Gelder is a co-founder of the European Register of Information Architects. At this moment he is chairman of the Group of Experts as well as member of the Advisory Board for the European Register of Information Architects.

After graduating in computer hardware at Delft University, Dave van Gelder started working in datacommunications, to a level, where he represented the Netherlands in international standardization. In 1985 he joined Capgemini where he mainly has been working in the Finance sector, but also worked within the sectors Public, Insurance, Retail and Telecommunications.

In 1996 Dave van Gelder became one of the developers of Capgemini’s Architecture approach and started training Architects.

Assesment and Certification by the European Register of Information Architects
The starting points for the European Register of Information Architects are presented as well as the way a mid-career assessment is used to reach certification. In two phases four aspects of a person are measured and developed the ERIA RACK™: Regulation (how to handle yourself), Affection (how to handle others), Cognition (how to handle knowledge) and Knowledge (status of knowledge and experience). As far as knowledge is concerned the European Register of Information Architects looks at four aspects business, information, application and technical presented in the ERIA RADAR™ .
