The RTES Forum will meet Monday afternoon
through Friday – July
17-21, 2006 at the
Hyatt Regency Coral Gables, Florida
July 17, 2006 -- Monday Afternoon 1330-1730
We will
look at Product Standards and Certification for the Intelligent
Transportation Systems. Speakers have been invited from
the Department of Transportation and their suppliers.
July 18, 2006 – Tuesday 0900-1730
The Open Architecture
for Real-time Working Group will continue the theme from
the Washington Conference “Architecting to the Edge”.
Speakers from BEA, BAE, Bearing Point, Cape Clear and Intel
will present. The day will conclude with a panel discussion
addressing the issues identified at the Washington DC Conference “Architecting
to The Edge”.
July 19, 2006 – Wednesday 0900-1700
The Open
Architecture for Real-time Working Group will focus on two
topics
- Software Portability and
- Open Source
Licensing Issues as it applies to High Assurance
Safety Critical Applications.
July 19, 2006 – Wednesday evening – 1830-2200
This will be the first meeting of the Goal-based Operations
Working Group. Additional information to be provided early
next week on/or about June 14.
July 20, 2006 – Thursday 0900-1700
There will
be two parallel sessions:
- The Security for Real-time and High Assurance Working
Group will address Protection Profiles for a Secure Communications
Stack (IPv4, IPv6 Dual Stack), Multiple Processors and
possibly Data Storage. The afternoon will be dedicated
to continued development of the Managers/Developers guide
for Implementing MILS and High Assurance Applications.
- The Safety/Mission-Critical Real-time Java Working
Group will continue planning the way forward for the SCJ
specification for submittal to the Java Community Process.
It is expected there will be a number of presentations
on the JCP, formation of the Expert Group, reflections
from early adopters of RT Java and Safety Critical Concerns.
July 20, 2006 – Thursday Evening
1830-2200 Hours there will be two parallel sessions:
- The first meeting for the Modeling for Performance
Concerns Working Group. Additional information to be provided
early next week on/or about June 14.
- Planning session for the Lisbon MILS Demo.
July 21, 2006 – Friday 0900-1230
There
will be there will be two parallel sessions:
- Continuation of the Safety/Mission-Critical Real-time
Java Working Group
specification planning.
- The High Assurance Working Group will address issues/APIs
in support of
an evolving requirement for high assurance safety critical
military applications.
