  Kamran Ozair — MindTree Consulting    
Kamran OzairMindTreeKamran Ozair serves as senior vice president for MindTree Consulting. As chief technology officer, he is responsible for leading the technical community, providing direction and building up technical competence within MindTree. Kamran oversees technical quality, direction and architectures in key projects internally and externally. He is also responsible for tracking and exploring new technologies which are compatible with service offerings of MindTree Consulting.

Prior to co-founding MindTree, Kamran was a technical architect at Cambridge Technology Partners, where he worked on multiple projects for Fortune 500 clients.

Kamran is also a current member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering sciences from Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H., and a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Road to SOA: Case Study in the Travel Industry
This talk will discuss the road towards a service oriented architecture, adopted by a large organization in the travel domain. The organization had to deal with a large number of content providers and consumers of content with very high transaction volume requirements. They had grown through acquisitions and had issues with silo applications and redundant code bases. They decided to march towards a service oriented architecture to fulfill the needs of multiple applications.

  • The approach that was adopted
  • The architecture and technology employed
  • Challenges that were faced as the different services were pushed into production
  • Best practices that emerged
