Richard has over 25 years in corporate technology. He has been an operator, programmer, systems analyst, systems architect, process architect, teacher and consultant. He has work experience in banking, education, insurance, travel, utilities and manufacturing.

For most of the last 10 years, he has worked in outsourcing solutions and management. This brought endless opportunities for focus on solid Service Management practices. Since joining Pepperweed in early 2005, Richard has focused on implementing Service Management for one of the largest IT departments in the United States.

Richard holds a doctorate in Computer Science and considers himself a student of Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Chaos.

Implementing a SOA can be a challenge and it needs to be managed once in place.

In this presentation Richard will talk about using ITIL disciplines to manage a SOA designed environment. He will include a discussion on all ten of the service delivery and service support disciplines and how they would be implemented in this style of environment.
