SOA Anti-Patterns
Architects are familiar with using patterns, which represent known, workable
solutions to a given problem, to develop designs. Anti-patterns are known,
unworkable solutions, i.e. design choices to avoid. Unfortunately, while we
can often learn more from failures than successes, they are reported much less
frequently. The speaker is engaged in a research project to identify SOA anti-patterns,
with the objective of helping architects avoid known bad solutions. This session
will report on the results of that work, to date. Included will be a number
of anti-patterns and recommendations for avoiding them.
