Systems Evolution through
Architecture Capital One Experience
This presentation describes a practical application of the method for architecture-driven
system evolution developed by the Capital One Architecture Group. The method
is based on number of existing architecture frameworks.
The presentation reviews evolution of architecture discipline
at Capital One, provides high level description of the custom
architecture framework, presents a case study based on developing
a technology transformation roadmap for a major business
domain, shares the lessons learned and discusses tangible
results of using architecture to reduce complexity of the
enterprise IT environment. In conclusion, it outlines the
challenges and the best practices for applying methodology
to the agile development projects.
