The IBM SOA Integration Framework Domain Analysis Tool (SOA-IF DA)

Designed based on lead practitioner requirements and developed by IBM Software Group labs, SOA Integration Framework Domain Analysis (SOA-IF DA) v2.0 is a platform that supports enterprise business architecture and service identification. A method-agnostic platform, it also supports IBM techniques such as Component Business Modeling (CBM) and Service-Oriented Modeling and Architecture (SOMA).

SOA-IF DA was created and has evolved based on key SOA engagements. Version 2.0 is a light-weight Eclipse-based platform that can be easily installed "standalone" or on top of another Eclipse-based platform (such as Rational Software Architect). It integrates with other IBM tools needed for SOA business modeling and analysis, such as the CBM tool, WebSphere Business Modeler, WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer, or Rational Software Architect. It is targeted at the IT architect and the business analyst, and as such exposes a simple to use models, diagrams, and palettes. It fully supports CBM maps and SOMA service identification.
