From Strategy to Performance – the
Architecture Way
It is essential that priorities of the Enterprise Architecture function are
strongly aligned, in fact derived, from the business strategy.
This presentation
illustrates how this challenge was met by an Enterprise Architecture Team.
It shows the process from analysis of business strategy, trough distillation
of business information requirements, definition of requirements for architecture
and their prioritisation down to strategy of IM Department and the performance
agreements of the Enterprise Architects.
The presentation focuses on concepts
rather than details, ignores servers, networks and other exciting hardware
while favouring the business aspects. An intuitive grasp of basic management
and architecture concepts will add to the enjoyment of the audience.

Pawel
Wuzyk joined Sasol at Secunda in 1990 as a Process Engineer
focusing on coal gasification and coal quality management.
As a difficult user (if you cannot fight him, get him to
join…) he
was co-opted by the IM community in 2001 where he dedicated
some time to Decision Support Systems and Data Integration.
