Roger Reich, VERITAS Software Corporation, has launched and delivered leadership storage technologies from database systems to disk drives for more than 22-years.

Reich has held engineering and marketing positions at Digital, Maxtor, Compaq, and VERITAS and is credited with breakthroughs in database system performance, near-line storage management software, remote proactive service systems, storage network management, enterprise performance benchmarking, and high-end disk subsystem technology.

Reich has built and led several industry consortia including the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC), the Storage Performance Council, the consortium that built the first SAN management interface standard (Bluefin/SMI-S), and the Storage Networking Industry Association.

He earned an engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has published in Computer Technology Review, Storage Management Solutions, InfoStore, EE-Times, as well as Storage Inc. Mr. Reich has been a featured speaker at Storage Networking World, StorageWorld, Server I/O, the Computer Measurement Group, the Global Management Conference, VERITAS Vision, and the IEEE Computer Society. Mr. Reich is widely quoted in publications including BusinessWeek, and ComputerWorld.
