The Role of Standards & Certification
in the Adaptive Enterprise
Ron Eller
Vice President & General Manager, Solution Alliances, Enterprise Storage
and Servers, Hewlett-Packard Company
An Adaptive Enterprise is the ultimate state of fitness where
business and IT are perfectly synchronized to capitalize on change. Key
design principles of an Adaptive Infrastructure include standardization,
simplification, integration, and modularity. Adherence to standards, a
focus of HP's Adaptive Enterprise, drives interoperability and customer
choice. Certifications and on-going compliance with standards provide customers
with the assurance that their IT suppliers are providing the best total
customer experience and ultimately reduces the risk of implementations.
Industry support & adoption of standards and certifications is critical
to the development of the ecosystem required to evolve IT and deliver on
the Adaptive Enterprise.
